TeamsSince its opening in November 2001 Tsha’Hoñ’noñyeñ’dakhwa’ has quickly become one of the premier sports facilities of Central New York. Located just south of Syracuse this 40,000sq./ft. state of the art venue was designed with spectators in mind. Features such as the elders room overlooking the building’s NHL size hockey rink, seating for two thousand, the Power Play Café, Price Check Pro-shop, handicap accessibility throughout the building and the unique art work and history put into the design and decorating of the building make this a facility like no other. Several national profile events, including the 2002 New York State Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions, the 1st Annual Louie Jacques Memorial Lacrosse Tournament, and the 2002 Nations Cup, have taken place since the facility has opened. Though primarily known as the home of Onondaga Redhawks Lacrosse in the summer, Tsha’Hoñ’noñyeñ’dakhwa’ is also the practice facility of the A.H.L.’s Syracuse Crunch, and home to CBA High School Hockey, Fayetteville Manlius High School and a number of area minor hockey clubs during the winter months. |
